BSI Onboarding Modules
As the training coordinator for BSI, I started from scratch to create an onboarding schedule for any new employee's first two weeks. This included six learning modules discussing the company itself; the mission, vision, and values; history of the company; who the typical customers are and what their roles are in the construction project; and how a project gets built. The onboarding plan also included shadowing an employee (with a specific checklist of what each department needed to learn), meetings with the C-level staff, and a lunch with their department. Each employee received a checklist and a schedule for their first two weeks, so everyone could keep track of their training.
BSI Safety Training
New employees in the company who work in manufacturing needed to learn how to read safety data sheets, teach them what to do in an emergency and how to understand warning signs and symbols that appear on hazardous equipment. The module also included an interactive map of the plant, identifying the locations of the hazards and the different types of first aid stations.
RMLA Math for Lighting
The Rocky Mountain Lighting Academy was looking for an online course to refresh their students on the topics of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry and show them how to apply those calculations to illumination needs. This learning module demonstrates examples in a step-by-step process where numbers are circled or identified by arrows as the voiceover explains the material. Each section ends with a quiz where students apply the information learned. The look and feel of this module reflected the school's logo, architectural design, and color palette.
